Motivational Monday Volume 177! Let’s talk about mindset! PART 1

Here is another extract from our upcoming book: The Premier way!

This is part one of a three part series:

Having a positive, can do, optimistic mindset is absolutely key to your success at PGNZ and of course, in life too!

1. The first thing to do is to take full responsibility for your situation and circumstances. Blaming your upbringing or your parents or your culture etc is the easy and popular way out but it will never help you to take ownership and control of your destiny and your success and ultimately your happiness. Every human being has an inbuilt, innate desire to be happy or happier and the only way to improve your life and your happiness is by taking extreme ownership/absolute ownership and responsibility for your situation, your circumstances, and your trajectory in life! We can’t direct the wind but we can adjust the sails!

2. You make your own economy! You need to understand this. Each person has the freedom and power (in a democratic country at least!) to make their own economy. This means that if you set your mind to it, set goals and put in place daily habits to inch you toward those goals, your career will continue to grow and flourish! Especially in a company like PGNZ where there is so much growth and opportunity and such an open and transparent culture. So if you are not already working for a company where you are encouraged and trained to think and act like an owner and where you are treated like an owner then you need to get your skates on and start looking for a company that does!

3. Invest in yourself and your education! Get a great coach! Compress time by getting a coach! A great coach could be your direct manager inside the business or it can be someone outside the business who will push you, drive you, encourage you and hold you accountable to your career and life goals! How much do you invest in your training every year? At PGNZ we invest thousands of dollars in every single one of our team on daily training through our GPP (growing people program) and other external courses we send our people to. YOU are your best investment!

4. Life rewards action! Fortune favours the brave! The hero and the coward have the same fears! The difference is, the hero does it anyway! Are you are hero or a coward?

Take action now: Review the points above and resolve to put at least one of them into practice each week. Use the Habitshare app or similar to ensure they accumulate and become daily habits!

Cheers to your success!
