Higher Ground Landscapes is a landscaping company based in Hamilton, specialising in private and commercial property construction and design. Its principal designer is Mark Sherson, a talented and experienced landscaper who has worked on landscape projects in the Bay of Plenty, Auckland and the Waikato. Mark has a collaborative approach, enjoying helping clients explore ideas, which he then brings to fruition.

Mark grew up in the Waikato and graduated from Wintec with a Diploma in Technology (Landscape Design). In his second year of study his design at the Waikato Home Show won the People’s Choice Award. Mark has worked for major landscaping companies in the Bay of Plenty (Garden Art, 2002-2004), Auckland (Silver Fern Landscapes, 2004-2006) and Hamilton (2008-present). He worked and travelled in Europe for two years from 2006-2008. His landscaping work features in some of Auckland’s wealthiest suburbs and on lifestyle and farming properties in the Greater Waikato. He is skilled in project management, computer design and plant knowledge.
